The Last Fifteen Minutes
A kaiju is coming…
The Last Fifteen Minutes is a marionette opera short film about the residents of a shitty apartment complex dealing with their grief and gathering for dinner in the fifteen minutes before a giant kaiju crushes them. It is a film about holding on to simple things and each other while the world collapses.
The Last Fifteen Minutes is written, directed and designed by Shing Yin Khor, produced by Monica Miklas, and composed by Jay Ackley. The Director of Photography is Ricky Chavez, and it will be edited by Lana Wolverton. The voice cast is Matthew Mercer, Tricia Fukuhara, Erika Ishii, Martha Marion, Jay Ackley and Tony Sancho.
It is currently in pre-production. A crowdfunding campaign launched in August 2025, and late pledges remain available.
